London Walking Club

Ibex Mountain and Hill Walking Club is a London based walking club open to everyone who wants to share our enjoyment of walking, trekking and mountaineering in the UK and abroad. Our members live all over the UK and enjoy meeting up at our regular walks and keeping in touch via our monthly newsletter.

We organise:

◊ Regular day walks in the London Area
◊ Regular weekends in Wales, the Lake District and elsewhere in the UK
◊ Week long trips to the Dolomites, Pyrennes and Scotland
◊ Regular Pub Meets
◊ Sailing Weekends and Holidays
◊ Photography Competitions
◊ Indoor climbing, trekking holidays and a range of other activities on an informal basis.

Our weekend walks use a wide variety of accommodation - bunkhouses, mountaineering huts, hostels, camping barns and campsite. We generally head off on a Friday evening sharing cars or arranging a pick up at a station for those using public transport. We usually cook and eat as a group with everyone helping with the meal preparation and the average cost for a weekend away is about £15 per person per night plus a share of travel costs. Ibex is a great, inexpensive way to enjoy walking at all levels across the UK and further afield.
