Thursday 9th - Monday 13th April : Lake District Camping |

As the Northumberland Easter weekend is full, Graham and Saaj are "co-ordinating" a camping weekend in the Lake District. We will be based in Wasdale and have a number of excellent walks planned around Scafell, Great Gable and the Mosedale Horseshoe. Ibex do have a tent that may be available so let us know if you need to borrow it for the weekend. |

Thursday April 30th - Caribbean Cuisine at The Mango Room |

All are invited to join us for a convivial evening of food and wine on the last Thursday of each month. Each month we will sample food from a different country so it’ll be a kind of random meander around the foods of the world, rather than the logical (and difficult!) A-Z of countries' cuisines that Susan organised so well last year. This month’s meal will be on 30th April at 7pm at a Caribbean Restaurant in Camden Town (close to the Tube) - The Mango Room. Time out gives the restaurant 5 stars out of 6, so well worth a visit. We went recently and the food was delicious. A pub or bar rendezvous will be arranged nearby if anyone expects to arrive earlier. If you would like to come, please use the Contact Us form as soon as you can but no later than 7 days before the meal so that numbers can be confirmed with the restaurant. |

Weekend Away - Dorset \ Hampshire |

Friday 24th to Sunday 26th April, 2009 Join Dave Wilson for a weekend in Dorset / Hampshire. We will be staying in a self-catering cottage and get a longish walk on the Dorset coast on Saturday and eat out in Poole Saturday night (an option is Dave's brother's restaurant at The Canteen Poole http://www.thecanteenpoole.co.uk/). Sunday we’ll head early up the M3 to meet any day-walkers coming out for the day to do a walk in the Winchester area. If you don't want to spend the whole weekend away, you can come down (by train if necessary) to join us for the meal on Saturday and then just walk on Sunday. Contact Us if you are interested in further details as accomodation bookings need to be made by mid-March. |

Probably based around Helvellyn and with a likely target of the English 3000's or possibly Striding Edge and Sharp Edge depending on the weather and inclination of those attending. Ibex do have a tent that may be available so let us know if you need to borrow it for the weekend. |
