Weekend Away - Cragside NT Basecamp, Northumberland

Thursday 9th to Monday 13th April (Easter Weekend)

Spend Easter in the beautiful north of England. The National Trust Basecamp is situated in a vast wooded estate, home to Cragside’s red squirrel population, 15 miles north-west of Morpeth (grid reference OS Landranger map 81, 072027). According to the information pack there are ‘huge rocks, tall trees, tumbling streams and miles of woodland walks’! See the National Trust Website for more details.

Accommodation for the weekend comprises two attached stone cottages overlooking Tumbleton Lake. The cottages are well appointed and warm (fully centrally heated). We shall be dining in on all three nights and with Nigel as Head Chef the meals will be outstanding. There are 16 places available so it would be advisable to book early.
