For the May club night, we're planning to go indoor climbing at The Arch bouldering wall in Bermondsey. From 7pm - 10pm as usual on Tuesday 8th May.
Bouldering is ideal if you want to improve your scrambling. It allows you to sharpen up your movement and raise your confidence first, in a way that aims to replicate the kind of complex ground you often find on mountain tops and on scrambles.
Bouldering is something that's suitable for all levels of fitness and ability - you do not need to have climbed before and there is no rope work. All you need is comfortable clothing/gym kit and shoes which can be hired from the centre.
I'm going to organise an Introductory Lesson with an instructor for those who have never bouldered before (approx. £20/head). I can also look into the possibility of an "intermediate" level course too. Of course, if you are a climbing regular, you're more than welcome to come along to climb/encourage!
Afterwards we'll meet at a local pub for a quick beer.
So please can you message below:
Yes, I can make it and I would like to have an introductory lesson
Yes, I can make it and I would like an intermediate lesson
Yes, I can make it but I don't need any lessons.
From there, I'll make the appropriate bookings and confirm the full details.
You should contact the organiser of this monthly club night - James Hancock - to enquire about spaces available.
