Chilterns candlemas walk with tea and cakes: Sun, 9th Feb 2020

Join Jim and Viv for a walk from Henley Station through the rolling Chiltern countryside to
Fingest village, where we will join the annual Candlemas celebration by enjoying tea and
delicious home- made cake with our packed lunches in the village church. We will then take a
different route back to Henley.

The walk will start at 9.50am prompt from Henley-on-Thames railway station. Trains currently
shown to leave Paddington at 8.51 arriving at 9.50 (but check before the day in case of
changes). Group travellers can usually get a discount so please look for other Ibex when
buying tickets. Car drivers can park at the station (£4.50 for the day), behind Waitrose (5 mins
walk away - free) or on some local streets for free.

Please note that since this walk is about 24 km in total (12 km each way to and from Fingest)
we’ll need to keep to a reasonable pace in order to enjoy the cake and get back before dark!
