Come clear your mind and work off some of those excess calories from the holiday indulgences with a romp
around the Surrey Hills.
This is a circular route from Guildford initially heading east to climb Chantries Hill, where we will follow the escarpment for a spell with fine views south before climbing St. Martha’s Hill. We will then drop down and pass through the village of Albury where there will be an opportunity for drinks and/or lunch in a country pub – The Drummond Arms at Albury.
After lunch, the route crosses heathland and passes through woods before joining the Wey navigation for the final stretch back into Guildford.
Approximately, 13 miles – with 2 good climbs in the morning. Please bring: packed lunch and drinks, waterproofs and walking shoes or boots. Avoid wearing jeans as these do not dry quickly if they get wet.
