All are welcome to our May club night! We have the room from 7pm-10pm, so do come along to meet other hill walkers and mountaineers for lively chat.
There'll be a short presentation from Rural Assistance Nepal, followed by an Alpine Skills workshop led by Dave Bibby:
At 7:30pm, Marianne Heredge, a former member of Ibex who spends a lot of her time in Nepal will describe a short (13 day) trek in the Everest area. This trek offers the chance not only to admire some of the most beautiful views of Everest from a 4000m peak but also to visit the locality where Rural Assistance Nepal (www.rannepal.org) has been helping some schools.
At 8:00pm, Dave Bibby will be leading an alpine skills workshop. He'll show a some photos from his recent skills workshop in the Austrian Alps. There'll also be a practical crevasse rescue demonstration!
