Join Siobhan for a summer stroll in (hopefully!) sunny Hampshire. This is a mentored walk so may be a little slower than the usual pace but with plenty of daylight hours, we'll have ample opportunity to take in this walk through largely unspoilt countryside, which remains as it was several hundred years ago. Much of the walk follows the Hangers Way, a long distance path which lies within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including an ascent of Shoulder of Mutton Hill, which affords some spectacular views from the top.
The plan is to stop for a drink (and a bite to eat for those that want to) at a pub in Liss at the end of the walk.
Joining instructions: The walk will start at 10.15 outside Petersfield station. If you are getting the train from London, take the 9.02am from Waterloo, which gets in at just after 10am. Drivers should leave their car at Petersfield station car park and will need to get the train back from Liss to Petersfield at the end of the walk (please note that whilst there are regular trains going back into London, they only run on the hour in the other direction at this point of the day).
